Tomato leaves wilting

This is my first time growing tomatoes from seeds, so sorry for all the questions I am asking.

After taking the advice from previous discussions, I replanted my tomatoes into large containers. They seem to be doing better, expect that the ends of the leaves are curling and drying up. The leaves are not turning brown. I have not been watering because the problem may be from over-watering. I also researched online and found out that this could be tomato edema because one of the leaves is slightly brown on the underside and the bottom stem has small, fuzzy white dots similar to ones caused by edema. Is this something other than edema, and what should I do to prevent my entire plant from wilting away? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Over watering usually makes the plants stunted and yellow. If your mix drains well, doubt it would be over watering. Are they near a heater, or it is unusually hot and dry where they are? I would probably snip off the bad parts anyway, and go from there. What kind of potting mix are you using?

Thanks for the suggestions. I’m using Jiffy Seed mix, but I’m planting them out in the garden next week. I’m not using a heater. Should this be anything to worry about?

Wow, those are already huge - when did you seed them?

Careful with regular tap water - if possible use water that has stood for a day or more or use rainwater (if you are allowed to harvest it in your area).

What's the problem with regular tap water? I irrigate all my veggies with regular tap water. It takes several days for my water to come from the treatment plant, and the disinfectants they use are pretty much gone by then.

Against the law to "harvest" rainwater? I've never heard of that. You'd think that would be an ecologically good way to get water!

I just have to chime in here with those tomato plants. They look like they have blight or some other disease. I would throw them out and start over. That's just my opinion.
