Aji Charapita indoors

So, I hear people in Peru grow Aji Charapita indoors for the fruit. Has anyone actually tried it indoors? I'm curious how it does. I'm planning to grow it outdoors, this year, but I might try a plant indoors, too.

I've read that it's the world's most expensive pepper (as far as the fruit goes).
