Beverly - do you know the name of the second overstock chandelier with crystals you posted? I searched overstock, but I can't seem to find it. Very pretty. Thank you!

I'd jump on the drapes first. I think they're going to have the biggest impact on this room. I'd try to find something paisley - brown - blue. These are from Pier 1. I closed out the site too quickly, but they're on sale -- I think $40/set, which is a good price for drapes.

Totally agree that the existing chandelier needs to go.

Everything else is traditional ... I don't like the modern chandeliers ... plus I think they're a little big for your room, and they block the view of your lovely china cabinet. I like the ones Beverly showed better, but I personally think I'd like something with a little more compact ... maybe something like this, which is on ebay (Kichler Parisian Bronze And Umber Etched Glass 6 Light Chandelier). I'm not sure about how to mesh a chandelier with the ceiling treatment.

As for artwork, I have absolutely no idea ... except to remind you of the old superstition that it's good luck to have a picture of a ship in your dining room. I think this should be your last step ... take care of the drapes and lighting first.

I have gone through a ton of curtains swatches and can’t seem to find much that will works with my paint color (sw network grey). The curtain fabrics have had too much undertone of green or blue. I don’t want to spend a ton of money on curtains because we need to replace the chandelier as well.

Do you care for either of these drapes?

- Left panel faux textured silk color “mist grey”
- Right panel is Taffeta color “eggshell” basically white.

The artwork is very matchy to the wall color-monochromatic. Do I need a wow centerpiece or curtain or what? It’s all currently looking very bland, I think.

Please help me finish this dining room. It’s been over a year.
