There great and would do well where are you just keep in mind that you have to treat for fungus they don't like the humidity but other than that there fine. Just get some with some size because it will drive you nuts waiting for them to mature. The ones I have now I got very small and it's driving me crazy waiting for them. It was a good deal at the time but if I had the money I would have paid it to not have to wait so long.

A few other tips. Apples real don't like having wet feet so if your yard is wet you might want to build some big mounds to plant on. Also the blooms don't always over lap so it's good to plant a 3rd type. I recommend transcendent crab apple they have a habit of blooming for months in a slow but constant bloom. Transcendent is not a good eating apple but it makes great preserves and is nice in pies I almost never used mine when I had it but it was a great pollinator.

Bea, shop around and see if you can find larger trees, Glenn is right about getting as big a tree as you can afford/find. I checked a chill hrs calculator website for St Augustine (there is not a weather station in Jax for this site ) and it shows 451 hrs this winter so far. That is plenty for both Anna, dorsett golden, ein shemer and also granny smith. I have mine planted in a wide open area that has lots of air movement and so far no fungus issue. Should have plenty of fruit this year and I will post when its picking time.
