Get a simple doored cabinet......get a simple mirror, hang it vertically, get a lamp. No entry needs candles.

You just want to make a utilitarian space look good. And no reason to display shoe shine stuff or bug spray..or whatever is in that mirror thingy;

Then replace that candle doo dad with a nice big piece of art to your liking. A bit of color perhaps.............. or a great line up, all the SAME SIZE of family photos, black and white.....in minimal blaclkor white frames.

When you goof, admit the design error, return it, and get something appropriate. Wasting more money is hardly the solution to an obvious storage issue.

I get the impression you don't know what your style is. This is a jumble of items that probably don't relate to the rest of the house. Your foyer should introduce you, your style and hint at what to expect in the adjoining rooms. This is a do-over for sure. Return what you can. Remove the rest and start over. Does the light fixture tie into anything else going on in your home? Its a bit too glam for the other stuff you have here.
