Hi there, I have 2 bathroom and would love to hear input on how to update them. One is a small ensuite and the other is the main bathroom on the top floor.

Here is the bigger bathroom

Scope of work, gut to the studs or just paint? Budget?

Honestly i'd like to see any examples. Budget? Hmm,,,I'm really open to whatever for both bathrooms.

So you’re ready to spend 19K on the small bath and 50K on the big one? That’s the national average for a Hall and master bath.

I'll have to post pics but I spent around 15k for a recent bathroom of mine (not shown) if that gives an idea. Ensuite doesn't have to be over the moon type of thing but I think a new floor and shower tile, vanity ...well ya new 'guts' would be good. Ha.

I'd probably sink around 15 k for each if necessary. The only thing I'd keep is probably that tub in the big bathroom

    Hope to see more suggestions

The large bath just needs a new vanity. I would go for something taller for the user's back's sake. Would two sinks be needed/useful? I am not a fan but they are a modern 'thing'. How many in the household? If you replace that large tub in the main bath would another shower be helpful? What is the toilet in the ensuite made of? I have never seen that before. Again new taller vanity, probably taller toilets...I would want a lower profile medicine cabinet--wonder if you could sink one into the wall. I can't get a feel for your shower. The door is old school. Is there a way to open it up and make it not a cave? The ensuite is the one I would be tempted to do a gut on.

Wow thanks for all the feedback and suggestions! You're right. The ensuite is the one i'd like to gut....new floor, new shower, new everything basically. Just don't know where to start or what would look good. Love your suggestions about the main bathroom too. There are 4 of us in the family. Wife, me, and 2 small boys. Ya I wasn't a fan of double sinks either but it might be the way to go. I hate to ask but if you can show any pictures or designs that would be fantastic on which way to go.

So it looks like small bathroom ensuite is getting the first redo. Questions. Should I have the shower as is redone with new tile inside OR put a see through corner shower there? Secondly...any advice for paint and floor/shower tiles.? Pics are preferred thanks!

A corner shower would be nice. The current one is pretty closed in. Pre-fab shower floors are nice. No waterproofing issues and no grout lines to clean. If you choose a new tile, you'll want something small with lots of grout lines for good grip. I prefer one sink with more counter space, but you could fit two if you want them.

Hard to give picture examples since I have no idea what your style is, but here are a few nice ones. More for style than layout.
