If you are concerned then why not begin by letting your daughter sleep in the lower part of the bed for now . Looking at this bed this is what I suggest .

Fun steps, and yes, she will grow. If you are concerned with falling out..........add a tuck in rail! . She weighs nothing, Buy a cheap shallower mattress to last a couple years. Otherwise worry not. Or simply pull the lower out to use as step, and cushion until ,..............taller. : )

In a blink of an eye she will be able to climb in. (And not long after, borrow the car)

My kids had a step stool and the tuck in side rail as suggested above, they work great.

I would just pull out the trundle a bit to act like a step to the bed. Like others said, she'll conquer it in no time. No need to buy anything new.

And leave the lower trundle pulled partially out at night to act as a safety landing zone should she roll out.

They sell steps for small pets that would work until she's a bit taller.

I don’t think 2 ft. is abig issue but as mentioned a simple step stool for the next 6 months and then she should be fine getting in and out.I like the idea of the lower trundle to act as a landing pad for a short time.

My husband built our son a bed and we moved him into it when he was 18 months old. It was taller than he was. I'm 5' tall and *I* have to tippy toe it to get into the bed. We put a rail on the exposed side and his nightstand at the end. He used that to get in and out for a while.
