Offset - Will it Sprout

In my stash of Globemasters I received in fall for planting, there was a small bulblet. I would say it was about 1/5 or 1/6 the size of the true full sized bulb. Just for the helluva it, I planted it in a specific spot singly, to see what would happen.

No signs of leaves yes, whereas the globemasters have started already.

Whaddya say. In time, eventually, the offset might show some leaves, or it will just stay underground sucking up nutrients

Offsets should sprout. If they didn't how would they ever grow. Any bigger. They need leaves to photosynthesise.

hi guys,

don't give up hope. Since you planted it later than the other bulbs, it needs more time. If the bulb was healthy, it should definitely grow.

The offset never sprouted, but out of the cluster of GM I planted, about 1/3 of them came up with 2 stems. So come fall, its going to be redig/arrange/divide
