So you think the couch facing the fireplace or the patio door? You're right, I was worried there wasn't enough space for two couches.

I think the couch facing the patio door, console table directly on the back side of the couch, with the two chairs angled to the left of the couch. An area rug could help define that sitting area as well!

I would angle the couch so it faces the fireplace, with a console table behind and put two chairs about where the table is now, facing the patio door. Then all the seating can look at the fire and enjoy the outdoor view without blocking the way to the patio. Or, if you're buying furniture it might be a great space for a sectional.

I think if you have your couch face the fireplace, with a console behind it, and an upholstered chair beside it facing the patio plus a rug, would look like enough furniture....maybe a table and lamp near the chair. Pretty room and you have a nice breakfast bar, it looks like.

Yes! Beside the table is a counter with bar seating. So the kitchen overlooks this room. The angle of the picture is from the other side of the room. I do like the idea of the chairs facing the patio door! We do have a sectional couch but it's a little less "formal" and there is a place for it in the basement. Also, yes we do plan on buying all of the furniture for this room. You guys are great! I have so many rooms to decorate in this new house, excited to have some help!
