Design Dilemma Entry Exterior

Covering a Drain

Well not a drain exactly, but a water access point. We just bought a house that has a water access right by the front door, but too far away to be covered buy a welcome mat! Help! There is one step down, so I was thinking using a runner rug like on stairs, but how would I attach that outside? Any ideas appreciated!

No runner, but an outdoor rug that covers the whole area would work. Although, you may want that drain uncovered so water doesn't pool there and cause damage

I guess I should specify it is a water access point, not drain exactly.

Oops you did mention that, I missed it sorry. Yes I think an outdoor rug that covers the area (not the stairs) would do the job.
