Heirloom tomato plant fund raiser

For several years now I've been growing various heirloom tomatoe varieties. I save the seeds and grow more the next year. I now have so many seeds that I decided to try growing enough plants to sell and raise money for the high school soccer team I coach. It's an urban high school and the players don't have any money but they are willing to work. We have a good place to start the seeds and grow the plants but I have no idea what size pots and trays to order. I'd like to start with 1000 plants. Any ideas? Tips? Suggestions?
