what to do what to do??

Need input on how to design the area. Front door opens directly to this small space, plan on making it a cozy living room but would like to have a foyer if possible. Will paint the green wall the same as the rest.

You can put a small demi lune table and mirror to the right of the door or to the right of the window, but you need to make sure the space doesn't feel crowded.

Take a picture from the green wall toward the door so we can see what space you have over there. And a picture of the whole window wall.

I like tqtqtbw's idea of a demilune table on the right hand wall as you walk in your front door. A table with legs and some personality like the table below with the mirror, plant and umbrella stand.

I was thinking about that, a console or small table but would it not get hit when the door opens? What about furniture layout?

Can you post a sketch of the room with dimensions? It will really help.

To the left side of the front door is another space that I plan to just make a small sitting area maybe just 2 chairs and a table like this pic on houz. I will deal with this next but for now, I need help figuring out this space with this odd wall.

@Denita, from front door to green wall is 16ft 3in and from window across is 14ft

The reason I asked for dimensions is because I can't tell from the photo. It looks like you have room for a small demilune table because the wall looks like (without actually knowing dimensions) that it is 72-76 inches long from the *corner to the window edge and your door would take up about 36 inches when open leaving you 36-40 inches to place the console & mirror. Without the actual dimensions, it's just a guess. *The corner is the one to the right of the door as you are coming inside.

Actually wall is 90” from door to window

About 56-57” from opening to window

That's much better. You have room for a table and mirror if sized right. What is your style?

Well I started my family room sort of mediterranean style but neutral colors and so i like to continue it to get a cohesive look. Here’s a picture. Got help from this site too. :)

Target has a nice budget friendly demilune that would fit for $89 (dimensions are 30"H x 42.01"W and 15.84" deep. You could have a fabulous mirror or artwork above and a colorful umbrella stand or ceramic stool similar to the insp pic I posted above.

This is nice and almost the same color as my mirror :) Thanks!
Im trying to figure out how to position my sofa. Should I place it parallel with the front door? If so, then I have to put something on that wall (niche) because it will now become sort of the “focal point” right?

Are you talking about the sofa in the room you posted above? I like that room just the way it is right now. Isn't the sofa parallel to the TV? Or are you thinking something else?

No not that living room but this empty space with the green wall directly facing the the front entry.

    This space

Is that going to be a dining area or are you making it a reading nook or something else?

This was supposed to be the formal dining but we never use it so might as well make it a small living room for when we have visitors.

Please add a photo standing in the corner of the green wall and the window wall, looking toward the diagonal corner.
