Flooring Design Dilemma Basements

Brick pattern (bond runner) TILE layout question

Assuming my basement has staggered tiles running up the long walls as pictured, do I stack the rows in the rooms to match the basement or do I take into account the longer walls of the rooms are not in line with the basement and stack the staggered configuration according to the room?

If you’re using the same tile, just continue into the rooms—don't change the orientation at the threshold.

Don’t tile the walls. Way too cold and too much cave.

I agree with Sophie Wheeler. My grade school's lower level had tile on the walls. Why do you want to do that?

sorry about confusion. When I say running up the walls, I'm referring to the pattern of the FLOOR tiles. You stack each row (horizontally) starting from the sketch working your way up.
