What are your "must have" irises?

Normally I would've just posted this on the iris board, but it doesn't seem to be getting a ton of activity right now. Anyways, until I came onto this site I never realized just how many iris varieties there were. I've grown German iris for many years, but I'd like to plant a few more varieties this year. After doing a google search for iris I stumbled upon Schreiner's Iris (and I bet Gardengal can tell me all about it since it's on the west coast). All I can say is HOLY COW! They probably have over 200 varieties in their catalog and I don't even know where to begin. I do prefer the solid colors over the duo tones though, and fragrance is always a bonus. Having said all this, what iris varieties do you recommend (they don't have to be from Schriner's)?

I really like Immortality (white). It’s supposed to be a rebloomer, but my summers are probably too short for it.

Wow Perennialfan, I wouldn't even know where to start! I have my favorites, but really prefer the ones which have a nice enough growing habit and foliage that I can rely on them to look halfway decent all summer. It's mostly the older varieties, but when I see newer ones I want to rip them all out and start from scratch!
Maybe a pre-made collection might work for you. I don't think you can go wrong with iris lol

I visited once during peak iris season...it was pretty impressive with beds and beds of different colored irises. But I don't care for the beardeds at all....my preference is for the beardless species iris and hybrids, especially the Pacific Coast hybrids.

Unfortunately, PC hybrids don't perform well in the interior...I sure wish they did.
