If you want the faucet to stand out, make the finish different from the appliances. Look at chrome, black chrome or oil rubbed bronze.

I almost got a chrome one in the same style which I loved, but was not sure if I should get stainless. So, I went with the stainless. Now I wished I had gotten the chrome one. But it is already installed and am not sure if I should change it. It is only a few days old....... :-(

I would change it to the chrome...I know how I am and if it was bothering me this much now, I KNOW that I would keep regretting it. Go with what makes you feel the best and you will not have regrets. Good luck.

I say change it to what makes you feel better or else you will lose sleep over this and it will be an eyesore to YOU whenever you go into your kitchen.

I think that when choosing so many things during construction, it's easy to become almost too focused on perfect finishes. I doubt the finish is as negative as you are seeing it right now, and you might find it easier to keep the brushed finish looking nice in the long term over chrome, which shows water spots like mad. I'd suggest trying to live with it for a while, unless it's critical that you make the decision right away for practical reasons.

In the end - hey, if it really bugs you and you can afford it, change it out and donate the barely-used one to Habitat for Humanity's ReStore.
