Hey, when can you remove from a grafted scion? About 3 weeks ago I grafted a cutting from a red maple tree onto a silver maple seedling using the whip and tongue graft. I wrapped the graft and scion with parafilm tape and then wrapped the graft with a budding strip. Now the buds on the scion are beginning to sweel some. Is it okay to remove the from the scion yet or should I leave it on? There is a little bit of callus forming in the graft. The scion doesen’t have no leaves yet but the buds are just starting to swell. Thanks.
