Fiddle leaf leaves dropping

Hello!

I recently brought a fiddle leaf fig tree. I haven’t watered her since getting her home, it’s been maybe 10 days. The top inch of soil is dry but underneath that there is still moisture. I’m terrified of overwatering it as that’s how my last one went down hill. I noticed that she’s dropped two leaves since getting her here, but in the last 5 days or so, not right away. Any advice is welcome. Is it time to water, should I just give her time to adjust? I just really want to do the best for her!
