I saw a sink that looked a LOT like this (or maybe WAS this one) in the Deca Hotel in Seattle a few years ago. (I was attending a convention, and the organizers were hosting parties in one of the high-end suites.)
It was gorgeous, but poor placement of the faucet meant that water got all over the counter, and for most of the evening we had a ring of damp hand-towels around the edges so the water wouldn't drip on the floor and cause a slipping hazard. :-(
Would it be possible to add a raised rim around the vanity edge, and perhaps slope things ever so slightly so that any water that splashed around instead of into the sink would run back into the sink instead of escaping onto the floor?
The glass is gorgeous, though!
