*Please ignore the mess and the non-sofa furniture in the room (planning on removing/replacing).

I would very much like a rug in this space but am having trouble deciding on a size. The inner dimensions of the sectional are roughly 5'5'' x 6'8''. A 5x8 works well width wise, but would come up short from the end of the couch going towards the TV. Because that walkway is so narrow, I really don't want the end of a rug sticking out as a tripping hazard anyway, but it might look strange to have a shorter rug. That being said, I don't want to shell out the extra money for an 8x10 when most of it is going to be unseen under the sofa.

Any help is appreciated! I have been spending far too much time thinking about this.
