Thats awesome! Its so pretty. Looks like you have a great eye so I’m sure you will pick an awesome rug and curtains— or hopefully some pros may chime in with some perfect suggestions!

One thing I will say – definitely consider comfort as a high criteria in rugs. I went through so many fails and returned rugs with our nursery because I was just looking at looks at first —and not thinking about a baby crawling on their tummy and with soft baby skin. Soft is best!

That's a beautiful crib and bedding set.

For an area rug, I suggest a rug from Ruggables, which is a machine washable rug.

You can select one that has a juvenile theme such as this one,

or one with a colorful, feminine one such as this one,

or a multicolor theme that will go with any theme so that when your daughter changes her mind about her color preferences (which they all do a few times in their lives) the rug will still match, such as this one.

What curtains you get will depend on what rug you get, pick a color or colors from the rug.

With plenty of color everywhere else in the room, you can always have white curtains. Then if you choose, you can make a pretty multicolored valance or cornice box that matches the rug.

Don't forget to get a high quality window film to block heat and UV light..

Buy a solid scrap piece of carpet and have it bound. Really nasty things happen on rugs in babies/toddlers/young children's rooms, and they usually end up on the floor. Buy cheap and replace when it becomes a biohazard.

I’m working on our baby girls nursery as well so I know the struggle is real! I bought a rug from this store, they are pretty reasonable for a rug that is going to be destroyed. I’m jealous you have hardwoods already, we have carpet so I’m just imagining what it’s going to look like

I would go neutral (soft white) for both. It will allow the other elements to stand out and they will be able to grow with your child from nursery to toddler room to big girl room.
