That’s why I was thinking Kumquat because of the lack of the wing, but so do lemons and lemons are more common. I guess I’ll have to wait for fruit.

It is only a "best guess" for now; and the lack of a winged petiole means that the best guess is some sorta lemon; of course it could be some other citrus with no petiole, but the best guess is still lemon.

I agree that it is probably lemon but I ran outside to see whether my kumquat leaves looked different from my NZL. The same but much smaller.

Are the flower buds a bit purply or pure white?

Rip a leaf in half and smell it. You’ll know if it’s a lemon right away
