Yes, they still working on the house. This is just one part of the Reno/addition. Just wondering if I should have them do do it or leave as is...they will do it if I insist on it. They’ve been wonderful so far.

Check how close your shower head is from the ceiling, if it is 6" or so, I would. You can check with your local building department to see what the code in your area requires for minimum distance above the shower head to a moisture-resistant surface. By the way, the tile job looks lovely! Love the chrome pin-striping :)

I would tile it. Our shower shower is fully tiled- walls and ceiling.

use a top quality ceiling paint meant for bathrooms. you'll be fine.

How old are your boys? I'm picturing a handsprayer spraying water in all directions. (There is a greater potential for water on the ceiling than with an ordinary adult taking a shower)

I'd tile the ceiling, but choose a lighter color in the same style as the walls.

usually showers have a tile ceiling if its low. like 7 feet high or if the shower head is positioned higher than standard. otherwise it usually is not tiled. if it is its more of a style thing not a maintenance thing.
