Hey guys,

I got this tree 3 weeks ago (ish). It gets a good amount of indirect sunlight. I water it when its dry one inch deep beneath the surface of the soil. This is usually 1 time a week (sometimes 2). I also try to mist it often. I've just switched to filtered water fearing the NYC tap might be the issue. I also just ordered 5:1:1 soil ingredients (those should be here soon). Currently the soil is whatever they had at the store.

It has been getting brown spots, mostly from the bottom up and along this one new branch of the tree (left side of the first image, you can see some of the new leaves). I've posted pictures of the tree, the spots, and the pot it's in. It also drops leaves pretty easily (I move it to water it closer to the sink). Sometimes when moving a leaf will just pop off during transit. I've never found excess water/moisture beneath the planter. It sits inside another pot that keeps it propped up a bit with space below for it to drain.

For scale its a little under 5 feet. The pot is about 12 inches in diameter. There's no hole on the bottom of the planter, just on the sides towards the bottom. 4 holes total.
