We are updating three bathrooms in our home, which includes original 1960s construction and a 2000 second story addition. As we update the bathrooms, do we need to match outdated details such as wall texture and baseboard style, or can we update these details in the rooms we renovate? While we may update baseboards and moldings throughout, it is unlikely we'll retexture all interior walls.
