Beautiful combination, for now I just have to live hostas through pictures. We received around an inch of snow last night. The crocus are trying to pop through the blanket.

Hi Beth... Same here in Oakland MI. I woke up and couldn't believe the snow we got. I Pruned my boxwoods yesterday and really hope I didn't damage them.

Gorgeous group and Guardian Angel is just beautiful. Mine was nice the first year, last year it had so little variegation it looked green. I'll see what it does this year - I may need to move it to a shadier spot.

Miles, the hosta with the yellow centers is St Paul.

OK, left to right, back row: Paul's Glory, Spartacus, Guardian Angel and Fortunei Aureomarginata. Left to right, next row farther away from fence: Sentimental Journey (what you can see of it, which isn't much), Abiqua Drinking Gourd, Then we have three small, variegated hostas; the one touching leaves with Spartacus is 'Miss Tokyo'. The other two small ones are 'Crusade' and 'Fair Maiden'. The yellow-centered hosta that is growing into f.maiden is 'St Paul'. See that round river stone? Then you can't miss the last two; the little blue variegated at the stone's 6 o'clock (that is Deja Blu) and the solid blue hosta at the stones 3 o'clock is a hybrid of 'Big Mama' that a friend gave to me a few years ago. Hope that took account of all of the hostas in the pic. Happy spring, everyone!!! : )

Sunnywood: Sorry, I missed your question when you posted it. I had a few hostas coming up on the 4th. As far as today, all but three (Fortunei Aureomarginata, Dust Devil and Whirlwind) are awake and pipping. : )

Tim: It's doing well; I see two nice-sized pips coming up so far...has been a fairly slow grower, but being a Big Mama seedling, that isn't at all surprising. Very nice blue color. Will post some pics of it when it's fully leafed out. Thanks again.
