Need thoughts on dining room!
Thoughts on a jute/natural fiber rug? Repainting? What about the buffet I staged in there? It’s currently our TV stand but feels too big,
Also, below the chair rail used to be Rhino blue by Behr but I painted it stark white (Bakery Box by Behr). Now I’m afraid it’s too bland. This dining room is a long time coming but proving challenging...

It's a nice room,,,just needs a little tweaking.
as stated, a thinner console might work there,,,but I'd remove the corner decor items,,,,it's looking too cluttered at that end.
I like darker colors above wainscot, but that's a personal choice. lots of things you could do in there. looks at 'dining rooms with white wainscot' and see what you find.

Dining table is 40” x 78” (extends to “108).
Agree on light fixture! That’s a leftover from my precious design adventure. :P I was going to order the one below to go above instead. It’s at least 6” wider than the one hanging.

lol,,,well, there are many that look like that. Not sure which one that is, but look at Robert Abbey 'Bling'
tons of knock offs because the 'Bling's are up above 1K
Overstock has a similar one
This is mine from Lamps Plus, and was quite affordable.
and Overstock has this Silver Orchid Taylor for about $250
there are at least 20-40 look alikes at all diff price points.

In regard of the buffet I like it I think that you could paint it if you like ,no need to get another one ! A rug under the table would anchor things down, take a look at this buffet !!
