They look like Tabasco chiles

they don't look like peppers i'd be interested in pickling. rather small and i'm assuming they have a lot of seeds with a very thin wall. more than likely -- like Tabasco, good for making hot sauce, not so great for canning.

i've grown Tabasco and they are about that size, maybe 1/4 inch wide vs 1/2 inch. don't appear to be much larger at all.

Tomato growers sport is an annuum. Tabasco is a frutescens.

As others have said, they are an Annuum. Fairly prolific, not hot, more of a spicy flavor. Not bad pickled either - made famous by Chicago as a condiment on their hotdog.
