That should be relatively easy, if you can get up there to reach the ceiling. Access might be the difficulty here as ladders and stairwells can be tricky. The existing lights should come off the track without issue once you figure out the trick. Some lights are push in and twist, some are pull and twist and others require you to pull off or slide a clip. It shouldnt require much force to remove the cans so if they arent moving, try another approach.

After you get the cans off, you will be able to see the number of prongs on the base and possibly a brand name. LED track light heads are much smaller and less noticeable. You might even choose to use three lights instead of two
