Hafele has similar ones but not this one. Would really like to know who makes this one. Anyone know?

These guys can do custom styles: http://rusticahardware.com/barn-door-hardware/

That look might be custom designed.

This is a company called MWE. They make the best contemporary sliding door hardware. We have many other manufacturers of sliding door hardware as well. Call Derick if you have any questions at 763-244-9442.

Pipeline, where do you recommend looking for the actual door for this type of sliding door in the Minneapolis area?

Give me a call, I would have a few questions I would want to ask about the door before I recommended where to get the door. You can reach me at 763-244-9442, my name is Derick.

Derick - what hardware would you recommend in the sub-$400 range?

To get the exposed track unit, you will spend over the $400 range. You could go with some sliding door tracks, like a pocket door track and spend much less than $400, however that doesn't give you the same look or function. Hafele has an exposed box track system that I can check into to see how much that would run.

It seems like most hardware discussed on Houzz is in that range. The Rustica hardware listed above ( http://rusticahardware.com/barn-door-hardware) and the flat track systems at realslidinghardware.com or barndoorhardware.com all appear to be ~ $400 or slightly under.

Just wondering if any of these suppliers are recommended over the others (or if there are others to look at). Anything else important to keep in mind?

I have more experience with the more modern exposed track system like in the picture which is MWE. I have put many of these systems in homes, lofts, condos, and upper end projects not only in the twin cities area, but also in Fl, Co, California, Seattle, AZ and NY. But, MWE is also the top of the line best exposed track hardware system you can get. Everything is solid stainless steel and the rollers are extraordinarily smooth. If I were buying the flat track systems, I would definitely go with barndoorhardware.com. The people there are very helpful and I have referred many people there. The other option would be to make your own system which I have had some architects and designers also attempt and do. The important things that come to mind would be: 1. What is the look you are going for? Is it rustic, modern, sleek, do you want it to stick out or blend in etc? 2. What finish are you looking for? 3. How are you going to mount it and does the roller system work smoothly when it's all together. I have had some customers come to me after they have bought some flat track systems online and express they aren't happy with the way the door rolls. It's important to and feel the rolling systems at a brick and mortar showroom if you have a place you can go and see the systems. They all claim to have great rollers, but honestly, until you feel the difference between a couple, you don't know what you are getting.

Any experience with Hager barn door hardware?

This is a Fleurco system called Kinetic. http://kinetikhardware.com/en/?page=2 If you need any assistance with this line, I can help.

Fleurco does make this as I can get it too. However they will tell you the design is not made for anything except for glass doors as they will have a disclaimer that they are not responsible if the systems doesn't work if you are using it for anything but glass doors. Fleurco is a company that makes shower stalls and just started making this track system about a year ago after buying an MWE piece and having it made elsewhere. MWE is the system you can always count on and they won't have a disclaimer that comes with their product.

Hager box track is a system that seems to work okay. Not the prettiest look, but seems to slide decently on the track.

Not sure if the hardware in the photo is a knock-off. Definitely beware. But if it is, what it's trying to knock off is the MWE Twin System. MWE sliding hardware is made in Germany. The performance of the carriage wheels and the finish on the stainless steel is of the highest quality. Capacity is 300lbs.
