Your orchid doesn't look dead at all. Defenately keep it inside, the type of orchid you have does well in temps 70-85, with indirect light. Can you take a picture of the roots?

Here's one I just took. It may not look like it but the soil is moist. Not sure if I need to decrease/increase watering to get it looking good again.

I can't see what type of soil it is in. Is it peat/sphagnum moss? May be best to back off on watering. How are you watering and how often?

From what I see, I'd say it looks OK. Blooms will fade/die after a few weeks or months. That time just depends, and moving it from it's retail location to your home is a pretty tough change in conditions. As far as the yellowing leaf, I'd say that looks normal also. I believe the pot has drainage as it is sitting in a saucer, so that is good. Keep it indoors until the temps stay above 50 at all times. East light is best with a little shading if outside.

My advice for a novice phal grower as far as watering is based on the media: If in bark, water it once week thoroughly and let it drip drain. If in spagh moss, water when just crunchy on top and water thoroughly and let it drip drain.

I believe it's in moss. I feel like I've been giving it adequate water, but I guess not? It's feeling dry today so I'll water it then let it drip dry as recommended by Bob. Also, it sits on my window sill where it gets a good amount of light but not directly. Thanks everyone!
