How does this Kitchen look?

Hi everyone,

We ended up choosing

1)Nutmeg cabinet(I went with default option the builder gave as we were trying to keep our options cost low)

2)White and grey quartz countertop (Upgraded)

3)White subway tile backsplash

4)Grey flooring

It would be great if you all can please let me know your thoughts and suggestions if any to make it look better. Should I use a grey grout pen and fill the grouts in white backsplash to make it more visible?

Thanks in advance!

When you get the flooring and the appliances in place, it will be fine - the grout lines will show up even with white grout eventually, as they age. Add some personalized decorating items, a window treatment to the slider and maybe a paint color on the walls! You should love the finished results!

Thanks everyone!...I was wondering if I messed up the look. Makes me feel lot better now:)

I would not do gray grout, leave it as white grout.

Leave it alone and once you are actually in the space with your stuff you will love it just the way it is.

I wanted to replace few cabinet doors with glass cabinet doors? Do you think it's a good thing to do?

Yes...some with glass would be nice. :-)

looks nice. leave the grout alone. once you get your flooring in and the walls painted, it will come together nicely.

    Looks good so far,

maybe sheet rock & paint the above vent box to blend into ceiling,

or use same material & match width of microwave cabinet with crown to ceiling.

Thank you for your feedback! I didn't like that either, so after closing planning to remove that cabinet and OTR microwave and replacing it with wall mounted range hood. Of course the subway tile will be extended all the way up.

I would not do any glass cabinet doors. IMO glass doors look best when they're flanking a window.

You did a great job with your choices. Get everything in, buy a couple of runners for the floor and a great pitcher or vase in your accent color for the island. No need to mess with the grout.

It looks bare now but it will come together upon completion of the floor and backsplash. Are you planning on pendant lighting above the island? Can you add it? All you need is 1 bar and maybe 4 pendants or an oblong chandelier.
Yes to the glass doors (even if it’s only 2) and maybe some puck lighting in those cabinets.
You might want to switch out the hardware handles to brushed gold or brass. Huge trend now and makes everything look richer. What color is the faucet?
    Great job, congratulations!:)

Thanks for the suggestions:) The backsplash is already installed it's white subway tile and blends with the white wall. Our faucet is chrome finish. The faucet, hardware handle and the pendant lights do they have to match? Can you send me a picture please if you have any.. Haven't thought of pendant light yet, but yes that's a great idea though.

I’d remove the hardware on the island cabinets. They look “busy” compared to the clean lines of the other cabinets.

Make sure you get wired for pendant lights

Thanks for the suggestion:) What hardware do you think will look good instead?

I would do a dark baseboards, and window and sliding door frames to highlight those and match them to the cabinet colors.

Leave the plastic on until AFTER you've moved in please, when all the stacking and sliding is over.
