We’re still working on our kitchen Reno, but while I’ve got the painter coming anyway . . . Would you whitewash it? Paint it like the trim?
(Behr Swiss Coffee via Sherwin Williams) Mostpainted fireplaces I see in pictures appear to be a smoother brick. We have 8 ft ceilings & a long narrow room (maybe 15’ x 21’ including a walk through to the kitchen at the other end. It just seems so dark & that big vent doesn’t help. We usually have the tv & stand catty-corner on the left side by the fireplace.
