what is the question? Lack of landscaping is the problem. Spray with weed killer. Some pots of flowers, taller foundation plantings under picture window would help

I would build a nice deck over the whole thing

The pavers were probably added because turf didn't get enough sun and the area was a muddy mess. Soil killer the paver area. Add a few low, long planters along the garage wall with trellises for blooming vines. Chairs and a little table in white.

I'd stain the slabs to a darker grey that blends well with the path before putting pretty things on it.

Of course, there's always the jackhammer option.

I believe the previous h/o were trying to reduce most maintenance, but their solution wasn’t very good. They put a picnic bench there, no plants, no rug, nothing.
