Could we have a sketch of the spaces and measurements?

Even good photos don’t give enough information for the people who are willing to put on their thinking caps to help come up with ideas.

It looks like there is a dining table a short distance from the island ... so I’m curious why one needs a breakfast area, too.

How big is the empty space? We need dimensions to figure out what will fit.

A dining room table is not used to for a breakfast area

This is one of the things you should have considered when building. The fact that it’s a pathway and has built ins on one side is limiting.

If you want help I’d recommend giving a floor plan if requested.

You could extend the countertop on the island and add barstools. Or you could do a built-in dining area attached to the island.
