Here are some better blues you could try. You might consider repainting the room a softer color to have less contras and give you an overall softer look. I think it would look nice with your rug and furniture.

Do get color chips to see with your rug. I’m looking at my fan deck and the colors aren’t showing on the screen quite the same I’m afraid. There isn’t any way to be sure the true color of your rug either but it Spears to be a cool blue on the violet side . A periwinkle blue if that helps.

Bumping

I would repaint the room in a soft blue, and use a darker color from the paint strip for the accent. Actually, I’d remove the molding altogether, and just use one color, but the style you have does seem to go with your over all decorative style. I think a softer contrast would look pretty.

I got a sample of FB Parma Gray and BM White Dove to test out, what do you think of the colors? I’m only looking to paint inside the molding. The parsons chairs are right next to and the rug is across the room. The chairs are a tweed which may not come through in the pictures.

Is there a color I can incorporate to add some interest? I have this picture, but it seems to have faded over time.
