According to this report there are some 50,000 chemicals floating around out there and we have some understanding of what a very few might do to us humans. Municipal water treatment systems are required to, periodically, test for the presence of about 100 of these chemicals, so the vast majority could be in water systems and no one would know and those of us on wells will never know what is in our water unless we pay for that testing, or some crisis happens (think Rockford, MI or Flint, MI).

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) relies on industry for the information it needs to make good decisions about whether something is good for us or not and the information industry supplies lack enough information to allow intelligent decisions to be made. After years of having the Dows, DuPont's, Monsanto's, etc. and our government lie to us is it unrealistic for us to have doubts when they tell us this stuff in our water is safe?

Reagan said that if we get the rules and regulations out of the corporations way they will do the right thing and many of those companies proceeded to pollute the air and water even more than before.
