Prairie moon - I’m only carrying over the dahlias and glads. Last year I managed to keep a tropical mandevilla alive all year long, just as the weather was warming up and it was time to put it back outside my kitten peed in the pot and killed it! lol so I haven’t done that again.

You should get more dahlias ;) they’re so slow to grow but so rewarding

I've had that experience, of carrying something over the whole winter only to have a problem just before it was time to put it out. I guess cats and plants together in the house all winter, can be trying. [g]. I really should do the dahlias this year. Which is your favorite and where did you buy your bulbs?

I have to admit that I buy my tuner from big box stores. I got some small Go Go dahlias for a border, my dinner plate varieties didn’t make it though. I believe I also had a few Barbershop that didn’t make it.

I want to explore more of the Pom Pom variety, perhaps next year :)

I leave my glads in the ground. Just posted about this a week or so ago. Love dahlias but am no longer able to dig up and then replant. I do that for a few calla lilies, but that's it.

Bill that’s a good idea about leaving the glads in the ground. I think I’m going to this year.

Now that I think about the I think the only reason I dug them up was because I disliked where i had planted them last year. Currently they’re inside in very nice looking planters that look like resin barrels, decisions decisions!
