do you really need a king? very big for the room

I can get a queen. I guess I am so use to a King, I wonder how would we feel in a queen. I am going to post more of the room. I was really thinking of a queen.

Yes I was afraid that the bed I really like may be to big for my room... Especially, a king.

I agree that the new bed would look even bigger in the space. And idea - you may be able to squeeze in a pair of wall mounted nightstands and slender lamps. Ikea sells some and if you are handy, you can make some from simple boxes.

Do you think I should really just get a queen and maybe change the bed I want all together since it’s ok the bulky side?

I would recommend a queen headboard only, not bed, for a small room. Measure your space and see if there is room. I really like the look of a nightstand on each side. Make sure you can open your dresser drawers.

Well that’s a great idea! What about the base of the bed how would I buy the railings etc a and connect a head board to it? Are the headboards universal where it can connect to anybed.

You can get a bed frame from the mattress store. The headboard is connected to the frame. Do you have a metal frame now or does the bed have wood boards across between the side rails? I think the metal frames are adjustable, but I'm not sure of the range. Sometimes it is possible to get a "free" frame with the purchase of a mattress and box spring.
