I had planted a mixture of bulbs in my perennial garden but I misjudged the bloom timing a little. My grape hyacinth's and daffodil are either just finished blooming or still bloomed out.. while my hostas, ferns and hydrangeas are leafing out ! It doesn't look awful but it is a little wild in this garden area so I want to dig up some of these bulbs and move to a different area.

When is the best time to move ? I know not to cut the green stalks because they are absorbing nutrients for next years blooms, but can i go ahead and move them or is there a time frame of when i am allowed to move them ?
