Are the tiles really pumice?

I looked at the Vermeer tiles in pumice and that color looks purple. This color looks beige or cream. And I called the complete tile shop and they said the only tile this designer has ever ordered was more of a white. I love the backsplash tile in this picture but I'm just unsure about it actually being pumice. Thanks!
