Hello all!

I'm new as a member of this site, but happened to come across some really good threads here when researching how to save my sansevieria. Had this poor little plant for probably two years in whatever mix it came from Home Depot in, until my mom repotted it - I think - in regular potting soil (which, as I now am well aware, is terribly insufficient). Regardless, it was surviving decently, but not really growing until a roommate drowned the poor plant while I was gone on a break. Upon a few outer leaves coming off, I decided to replant it in a more appropriate cactus-succulent mix that I found, and then found that the poor plant had entirely lost all of its roots whilst I was gone. Thanks to management advice from this site (both in regards to proper soil, and information from other threads regarding damaged/overwatered sans) it is now doing well and beginning to grow again.

In other news, I have become quite a plant enthusiast - I think as a replacement hobby for other things which I no longer do. In addition to the sansevieria, I currently have schefflera, dracaena "florida beauty", aloe, a rather large majesty palm, and am attempting to propagate a pineapple bush for fun. If anyone has any interesting tips or advice for caring for and growing these plants to their full potential, I would love to hear them!
