1st year peach trees

So I planted 2 DWN bare roots in January, Indian Free and Frost , both on citation, since curl is a problem here. Both had nice feathering and were headed at just above knee level with 4-5 nicely spaced branches left, which I pruned by 1/3 or so. Anyways, they have taken well and both had several blossoms, and now have small fruits. I saw 2 on Indian Free and 4 on Frost. They are both staked well with 3 stakes each and have leafed out well. Anyways, I have heard folks say to remove fruit year 1 to let the tree focus on building a root system and to get established ... have also heard some folks say they just let it do its thing and develop the fruit. What would you do and why ? If I do clip the fruit, when ? Thanks.
