Fridge placement opinion

Hello Houzz Experts,

First time posting here. Working with a cabinet designer on a kitchen renovation to create a more open space and support multi cooks and homework area. I would like a second opinion on the design.

The layout proposed by the cabinet designer is focused on the principles of the work triangle, but doesn't seem to fit our lifestyle. My issue is with the placement of the fridge. We have the fridge in a similar placement in our current layout and I am constantly bumping into family members given the sink, fridge and cooktop are in the same alley. Often times we are waiting on each other making that space ineffective. Ideally I want to move toe fridge to the side where the ovens are placed in the layout (left side of the aerial view) and add a prep sink to that end of the island.

The cabinet designer thinks that breaks the design principles. To me having this fridge as proposed right behind the table will create even more traffic issues. We are looking at the Thermador column 24" fridge and 18" freezer. Besides I don't want this to be the first thing guests see when the enter the kitchen from the foyer that is between the pantry and ovens in the current design.

Thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks do much in advance!
