I have an office thst i would like to convert to an extra bedroom/sitting room.

my problem is i dont have a clue about room design. Its the first room you see when you walk in the house so i want it to look very warm and inviting. Colors, items, decorations im not picky about i just want warm and inviting.

dimensions are 124inches from door to wall(96 inches when door open at 90degrees) and 176 inches from window to closet

here is a video

The video didn't post. Do you have a picture of the room from the entryway?

I would look at pictures here on House of guest bedrooms and find ones that strike you as warm and inviting. Save them to an idea book so we can see what you like and we can help you find items for your room.

For warm and inviting, I would get a nice soft-looking rug and use warm colors for the bedding that go with the decor in the rest of your house. Wood accents will also help it feel warm.

Some people don’t like opening links when they don’t know what they are. Post some photos of the space.

I am assuming this is a guest room....here are some basics....

    1.
Extra fluffy towels, blankets and pillows

    2. Wastebasket.

    3. Clock

    4. Space for clothes

    5. Door hooks (over-the-door or door-mounted ones)

    6. Iron

If you have a limited area, you can get an over-the-door board
or a tabletop ironing board that can rest on the bed, floor or low
    dresser.

    7. Tissues

    8. Basic toiletries

    9. Full-length mirror

    10.
    Hair dryer

    I also like.....

    a bedside table

A comfortable chair with a table and a lamp (if space allows)

    A luggage rack

A local visitor’s guide and personal suggestions.

Special amenities. Leave a basket with an assortment of updated magazines, healthy snacks and fresh baked cookies. Other items to include are power bars, crackers and bottled waters. A small television, neatly tucked in the corner or inside a cabinet, is a nice touch when a guest enjoys watching their favorite cooking show or sitcom. For tech-savvy guests, place your WiFi password someplace visible, or in a pretty frame on the bedside table where they won’t miss it.

Do you want this to be a guest room per se, or an office that will act as a guest room....a Murphy bed might be a cosideration.

This will be a guest room

Plan for the bed to be opposite the French doors and the sitting area over by the windows for light and a place to read. Double or queen bed, bedside tables and lamps. Drawers in the tables will provide a place for folded clothing. Luggage rack inside the closet. Bench on the wall between closet and French door for sitting down and putting on shoes. Hang your mirror vertically above it so they can get a full view of themselves once dressed. Pretty chandelier above the bed. Once the bed size is decided, look for the bedding. The colors in it will set the tone for the rest of the decor and paint in the room. What room does this adjoin? You may want to consider the color palette in that room when you begin here so they don't clash.

Wow this is more than i ever could think of. The wall by the french doors is a curved wall.

this room doesnt ajoin to anything, its just a room with a closet
