Miele ovens - Keep warm function?

Do the Miele combi-steam ovens or convection ovens have a keep warm function for food (not cookware)? I think the combi-steam oven may have an automatic keep warm function for just 15 minutes at the end of cooking, but can you extend that? And let's say you just want to keep something warm (without first cooking something in the oven), can you manually keep food warm in a Miele oven? If so, for how long can food be kept warm?

Thanks so much!

Get a separate Dacor warming drawer with four timer settings including "infinite"

I would prefer to not have to get a separate warming drawer. It would be nice if the Miele ovens - at least one, the combi-steam - also can function as a warming drawer. Does anyone know if that is possible? Thanks!

Contact Miele directly. Who knows, they might make one for you.

It does function as a warming drawer. Fro food cooked in the oven. For 15 minutes and no loss of quality. Call Miele, or consult your local Miele dealer, but you are asking for functions specific to a separate warming drawer.

What's the difference between a warming drawer and an oven set to 140?

I just removed a warming drawer in my kitchen remodel. In 8 years I probably used it twice per year. Most of the time I would forget that I had that option! We also tend to prepare our food and it eat right away.

The difference between a warming drawer and an oven set at 140 is that if you just finished cooking at 350F in the oven, how do you get it to 140F immediately? If the oven stays at 350F, your food will be over cooked. A warming drawer works better in this scenario or if you have two ovens and only one is being used. My Miele speedcook oven has the keep warm function but it works on the microwave function so that items warmed in the microwave will stay warm until removed within 15mins of the cook time.

    Good luck!

Thanks. Are you able to extend the warming function on your Miele speed oven beyond 15 minutes?

The function you want, an extension of warm time that doesn't RUIN the food is most available in a warming drawer. You can ask Miele, but there is a reason the number "15" is used. It doesn't say 15 minute increments. .............The Dacor warming drawer would afford the wider options. You want a function for food cooked on the stove TOP and not in the oven, That is what warming drawers are for.

The keep warm function cannot be extended on the speedcook. You will need a warming drawer. I have a Miele warming drawer and it works wonderfully.

I'm struggling to fit in a Miele 7020 warming drawer into our kitchen not list as place we are getting our cabinets from says we have to use a housing for a full sized oven to hold it in the cabinet as they don't make anything smaller.

We want to use ours for fermenting nut cheeses and proving dough.

I'm wondering if an upgrade in our Miele oven choice would help. We are planning two ovens side by side so though the cheeses would need it for a day and more, we could manage. But can any of the icebs be set as accurately as the warming drawer for this purpose?

    Any insight appreciated.

    Apologies for typos.

    Least, not list.

    Ovens, not icebs!

plaase see my comment below yours. Not sure what you need for the cheese as far as settings. My ovens (I have 30”, CSO, Speed) are accurate and have a range of temp settings. I proof in my 30” at many different temps. What Miele oven are you considering? I have the top of the line with the M Touch but doubt that model is required for your needs. Check out the owners manual on line to see what the model that you are considering offers.

I'm not looking for a fandangled model as just more to go wrong, harder to fix. I was going for Miele due to their reliability.

I mostly just need an oven to have temp controls and basic directional heat settings, not to advise me how to cook my food, and I have no need to operate my cooker from far away or whatever else they do these days.

But, yes, it may be that a Miele cooker could be this but also provide the actions of a proving drawer, temps good for bread is what I need. And our pickle is resolved...perhaps!

OR I part resolve it by finding caring the right size to house a warming drawer in the kitchen cabinet. Our cabinet suppliers will only fit it in a full size oven casing.

If there is a simple Miele oven that can nonetheless do the proving I may have found the product I need.

Well, thank you so much Kim. Yes that Miele oven does the job perfectly and goes lower than the warming drawer! Excellent solution for us all round. Looking up the manuals resolved the matter. Thank you
