Avocado Growers

Leaves burning at the tips.

Hello, I was hoping one of you could help me solve this problem. The leaves on this avocado tree are burning near the tips. I'm suspecting some sort of nutrient imbalance. The tree is growing in the yard of my mother-in-law in Florida. They are old-school Chinese, and have a disgusting habit of fertilizing some of the trees with human urine. Could this be a result of this practice?

Urine maybe high is salt, tell them to select another tree to fertilize that can handle some salt. Avocados can't.

extreme heat, or cold weather.

I get that sometimes as the new leaves are coming in and the tree is letting go of the old leaves. Be concerned if the new leaves start looking like that in a month.

looks like salt. Add a ton of gypsum around the tree canopy. And your tree branches are black?! Paint them with some IV Organics to protect them from the sun. Hopefully its not to late to save it. You should also add a couple of inches of mulch around the tree.
