Growing Gunnera in NC?

A large creek is part of my back yard. We have a dock leading out to the area but along the dock is boggy area. I would like to plant some nice bog plants. The area is in part shade and filtered sun. Would Gunnera grow?

    Did you look at the Bog forum? There are some threads on Gunnera there. I used to want to grow this plant. If you have room for it I'd sure give it a try..it is so amazing looking. Prehistoric looking. It sounds to me like it does like a lot of moisture but that it doesn't require a bog. I imagine it would appreciate the dappled light you have.
