Does Hale Navy coordinate with Linen White?

I've been trying paint samples in this room and adjoining hallway and have, sadly, ruled out grays and SW Sea Salt. I really wanted to love the Sea Salt but it was coming out too blue. So now I am back to finding another color.

Would BM Linen White look good in this room? Or another light neutral that would complement a nearby Hale Navy room? It's a basement so I don't want anything too muddy or heavy feeling. I also love buttery yellows...would that be weird in here? Too much color for a large space?

I love the creamy neutral look and it will have Brazilian Koa Vinyl flooring and white cabinets. East facing windows and doors. There is two rooms tucked behind this space, one that is being painted in BM Hale Navy. Is the contrast between a soft creamy color and Hale Navy too much?

I like so many different looks that I struggle knowing what will look cohesive and what will be jarring. Please help! I'd love to buy more paint today while there is a good sale (and my hubs is begging me to make a decision!)

Why Hale Navy? It is a very dark blue/black color. In order to make sure it is not like a cave you will need both natural and bright lighting. Consider painting on just one wall.

Because yellow fits in with your primary colors you can go with a yellow. As far as the color of your family room walls I would suggest a warm yellow such as BM OC-111 (Corinthian White).

Because of your lack of lighting maybe a little bit more yellow like BM 914 (Devon Cream). You can pair this with the green BM HC-97 (Hancock Gray)

Hi -- my master bedroom is painted BM Hale Navy with BM Mayonnaise for the trim. I love it, since it has a moody and relaxing feel to it. The rest of the walls in my home are BM Grant Beige with the Mayonnaise trim.

Linen White is a beautiful warm white in the yellow hue family. It looks great with lots of the historical colors by Ben Moore, and Hale Navy is one of them. I have a dining room painted in linen white and the room is warm and cozy, even with a northeast exposure.

You can buy untinted gallons during the sales and then hang onto them until you've decided on a color. That's what we did this past weekend when I was buying paint for the rest of the house but wasn't yet committed to a hallway color. And untinted paint can be returned if you don't use it.
