Thank you dhaven. I am sorry i got the name wrong on that one. Didn't realize it until i tried to look it up on the library. It is actually Queen of the Seas. I believe i got this one at Rux Gardens several years ago but is had been in a pot all those years and never did much. Last year when i relocated all of my garden i planted about all i had in pots in the ground and they seem much happier this year. Only lost one and of couse it had to be my Ice Age Trail.

That explains it, QOTS is a great hosta, I've had it for many years and it always looks good. You will like it more and more as it matures.

Ice Age Trail is notorious as a hosta that often fails to thrive. Or fails to live. Beautiful plant, but very picky about growing conditions.

Lovely hostas, I love Queen of the Seas. Does it change appearance through the season or does it look like the picture all summer?

Great pictures, everything looks so green and fresh. I was down in Atlanta for a few days and couldn't get over how green everything looks. We are just warming up--most of ours haven't even started yet--but we often have frost in early May, so it may be a good thing that ours are below ground. Love the pine needle mulch. Sorry about Ice Age Trail it's one of my favorites.

Thank you all so much. I am on zone 7b, Denver Noth Carolina. They do tend to be early risers here. Bad tjing about that i had a lot of frost damage this year.
