Hi Michelle, love the house! It's such a matter of preference, but I would want something lighter than KC for the siding. Just seems like a bit more contrast with the roof could be nice. Maybe a lighter gray?

Another thing is your double windows are really too big for properly sized shutters. Again, a matter of preference. Most shutters I see aren't sized right. In your case, you have the nice trim on the windows that is lovely on its own.

I go back and forth with dark grey or medium grey! I also thought of removing the shutters :) However, I like the wood door with the dark grey, but the black with the lighter grey.

I know this house is a totally different style, but the color combination works so well, at least for me. Might take me a couple minutes to post the pic.

Here it is. I love the soft, light gray siding with the roof. This house does have a lot of exposed roof. Not sure...if you click to enlarge it looks like the door could be wood.

So nice! love the light great too. I'm just worried my wood front door won't "pop".

See what some of the pros suggest. It seems the wood door would have more contrast with a light color siding.

why don't you go grab a sample and paint it on a section before the painters come? Try Chelsea & Harbor gray too.

only you can tell what it will look like w/your lighting. grab a few lighter grays while your at it.

What a lovely home you have! I must disagree on the comments to remove your shutters, I think they are just right for the style and look of your home. I do like the idea of a lighter grey than the Kendal charcoal, I think the BM Storm would be slightly lighter but still have nice contrast with the white trim and black shutters.

Thanks! If it ever stops raining I will get some cans. Such hard decisions lol. I love Kendall with the wood decking, wood doors, and wood ceilings my only thing is the shutters are black. May need to lighten up. I think harbor grey is my bathroom I’ll look. This is my new side deck and my back deck will be like this too. It’s azek mahogany. A little lighter normal, but it’s been raining a lot.

Michelle, omg...I've so been there with exterior paint colors. Your house color is just out there for anyone/everyone to see. Pressure's on but your house will look great.

I’m going to pull a bunch of these greys tomorrow at the paint store expensive decision LOL

michelle,,yes,,too bad you can't use the Behr samples. at only 2.50, they're cheap. those BM samples are 8 bucks or so? lol. maybe you could find something else to paint with them? insides of closets or some shelving ?

thank your previous painter for painting the downspouts to match the siding vs the soffit- it looks so right !! Beautiful house - the change over to grey will look stunning but much more subdued - you may want to consider adding a pop of color - ie red door

I went with Kendall charcoal and love it. my roofs on the decks and door are mahogany and I love it with it.

Anyone else on here able to share what color white trim you used with your Kendall Charcoal body?

TM Peterson, Kendall has yellow undertones. (as opposed to blue/gray undertones)

BM Simply White is a nice neutral white. I have kendall in my interior and paired it w/Simply White.

You could also just get the Base 1 can off the shelf and have the paint guy give you extra squirts of titanium white tint. that's it. no other color.

A lot also depends on the direction of light you're getting. If you want a super cool white, try Chantilly Lace or SW Extra White.

I have a south west exposure on my home and used Behr Swiss Coffee. It looks like a bright white.

I prefer Simply White to White Dove, but you may like it.

It's best to try some samples over a primed surface

so she opted for a warmer white
